Jim meets… The Archbishop of Canterbury
How do you continue to pray in the world of inhumanity, suffering, famine, natural disasters etc? Is your Christian faith a comfort or struggle?
Through faith we’re trying to open up our lives for God’s love. We are becoming a channel for healing purpose, which can work out itself in practical way, doing something about it, getting involved.
In these horrible circumstances it’s not the matter of how on Earth can anybody can pray at all. People just do. They want to connect the horror of the situation with the love of God somehow.
Professor Jim Al-Khalili, Professor of Physics and Public Engagement in Science at the University of Surrey hosts an audience with The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams – live at University of Surrey, Guildford.
