This guy us awesome! His jokes are very funny and his explanations are very good. I saw him in another documentary where they had geniuses in different areas and tested their genius in every area. He, and another participant won first place. Genius.

I agree that his presentation was quite stuttery (I had to pause the video while my husband and I did impressions). I think his jokes were more for himself, though he may not have known that. And as for the laugh… I was being ironic. I guess because I work with students on the Autism Spectrum, his affect was fairly charming to me, though I can understand why it might be off-putting to some.
One thing I’ve learned by observing students with ASD, is that they tend to pick up inappropriate behaviors from television. Most often, it is the fault of the laugh track because the characters are artificially rewarded for their jokes, which culminate in a pause. This guy tells jokes as though he expects laughter from an invisible audience, and pauses to let them know it’s time.

Very interesting stuff. I don’ think this guy is the best at explaining it, he stutters and stumbles too much and keeps trying to make these corny jokes about everything. His laughter is very annoying to me, though others seem to think it was cute. But the subject content was very interesting. Especially the bit about smells being seperated due to the vibrational frequency of molecule being smelled.

I wish he had spent more time on quantum “hanky-panky” in the brain. Just that bit at the end about filtering out photon noise. I didn’t mind his practice of doodling, though it slowed him down. Also, the way he laughs is fantastic!
